Adidas Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the Duramo SL Shoes Kids run true to size for most children. Adidas recommends ordering your child's regular shoe size, though some parents with wider feet prefer going half a size up for extra comfort. It's always best to measure your child's foot length and compare it to the Adidas size chart to ensure the perfect fit.

The Adidas Duramo SL Shoes Kids require minimal break-in time thanks to the breathable mesh upper and LIGHTMOTION cushioning that feel comfortable from day one. Most children can wear them immediately for running or casual activities without experiencing discomfort or blisters. The synthetic overlays provide structure without stiffness, so they adapt quickly to your child's foot.

Yes, the Adidas Duramo SL Shoes Kids are specifically designed as a running shoe with LIGHTMOTION cushioning that provides responsive comfort for active kids. The lightweight construction makes them ideal for training runs, track workouts, and casual jogging. The durable rubber outsole offers reliable traction on various surfaces, making them versatile for both road and light trail running.

The Duramo SL features Adidas's LIGHTMOTION cushioning technology, which delivers a responsive, bouncy feel without adding excessive weight to the shoe. This cushioning is designed to absorb impact during running while maintaining ground contact for stability and control. It strikes a good balance between comfort and performance, making it suitable for kids who need support during active play and sports.

The Duramo SL Shoes Kids are built to last with a durable rubber outsole designed to withstand regular running and active wear. The breathable mesh upper combined with synthetic overlays provides reinforcement in high-stress areas, protecting against tears and wear. Most parents report these shoes holding up well through a full season of running and everyday use, though durability depends on frequency of use and care.

It's best to hand wash the Duramo SL Shoes Kids to preserve the mesh and cushioning materials. Use cool water, mild soap, and a soft brush to gently clean the upper and outsole, then air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Avoid machine washing or putting them in the dryer, as this can damage the LIGHTMOTION cushioning and synthetic overlays.

The Adidas Duramo SL Shoes Kids are lighter and more responsive than many Nike Revolution models, with a more flexible design that works well for younger runners. Compared to Saucony Ride, the Duramo SL offers a more minimalist approach with less cushioning, making it better for kids who prefer a closer ground feel. The Duramo SL's breathable mesh is also more ventilated than most competitors in the kids' running category.

The Adidas Duramo SL Shoes Kids are available in standard width fittings. If your child has wider feet, Adidas recommends going half a size up, as the mesh upper has some give and the shoe tends to accommodate slightly wider feet better than narrower designs. For children requiring significantly wider shoes, you may want to explore Adidas's dedicated wide-fit running options.

The Duramo SL Shoes Kids are generally well-reviewed with no widespread durability issues reported. Some parents mention the mesh upper can feel thin, though this contributes to the lightweight design and breathability. The shoes are designed for running rather than heavy-duty outdoor play, so they perform best when used for their intended purpose.

The Adidas Duramo SL Shoes Kids come in a variety of colorways including classic black, white, blue, and seasonal color options. Availability varies by region and retailer, with popular colors selling out faster than limited editions. Check the official Adidas website or authorized retailers for the full current selection and any exclusive colorways available in your area.
