Adidas Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the PREDATOR ELITE typically runs true to size for kids. However, the HybridTouch 2.0 upper is designed to be flexible and adaptive, so some players with wider feet report a comfortable fit even in standard widths. We recommend measuring your child's foot length and comparing it to the Adidas size chart, as soccer cleats should fit snugly without excessive room for sliding during play.
The PREDATOR ELITE Firm Ground cleats have a relatively short break-in period of 2-3 training sessions, thanks to the flexible HybridTouch 2.0 upper that molds to your child's foot quickly. Most players report comfort during match play within the first week of use. We recommend wearing them during practice before game day to ensure optimal comfort and confidence.
The PREDATOR ELITE Firm Ground Soccer Cleats Kids are specifically designed for soccer performance on firm ground pitches, not for all-day casual wear. While the HybridTouch 2.0 upper provides excellent comfort during matches and training, the firm ground outsole and specialized stud configuration make them less suitable for extended off-field use. For comfort during play, they excel, but we recommend changing into regular shoes afterward.
The HybridTouch 2.0 upper is engineered for durability with a blend of synthetic materials that resist wear from ball contact and ground friction. The Strikeskin rubber fins are specifically designed to withstand repeated striking and maintain their texture for consistent ball control throughout a season. With proper care and maintenance, these cleats typically last a full competitive season for regular players.
The Adidas PREDATOR ELITE Firm Ground Soccer Cleats Kids are optimized for firm, natural grass pitches and hard-packed fields—not artificial turf or soft ground. The firm ground outsole provides excellent traction and stability on these surfaces, while the Strikeskin rubber fins enhance ball control. Using them on artificial turf or muddy fields may reduce their effectiveness and lifespan.
After each use, gently remove excess dirt with a soft brush or cloth, then rinse with lukewarm water and air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. The HybridTouch 2.0 upper can handle mild soap if needed, but avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the material. Periodically check the firm ground studs for wear and ensure they're clean to maintain optimal traction and performance.
The Adidas PREDATOR ELITE differentiates itself with the Strikeskin rubber fins, which are specifically designed for enhanced ball control and touch compared to competitors. The HybridTouch 2.0 upper offers excellent flexibility and comfort, while the firm ground outsole provides reliable traction similar to other premium models. The PREDATOR line traditionally emphasizes ball control and precision, making it ideal for playmakers and strikers.
The Adidas PREDATOR ELITE Firm Ground Soccer Cleats Kids are available in standard widths only. However, the flexible HybridTouch 2.0 upper is designed to adapt and stretch slightly with wear, which can accommodate moderately wider feet better than rigid cleats. If your child has significantly wide feet, we recommend trying them on in-store or checking Adidas's fit guide before purchasing.
The PREDATOR ELITE Firm Ground cleats are generally well-reviewed with no widespread reports of sole separation or major defects. Some players have noted minor squeaking in the first few wears, which typically resolves as the HybridTouch 2.0 upper settles. If you experience any manufacturing defects, Adidas offers standard warranty support through authorized retailers.
The Adidas PREDATOR ELITE Firm Ground Soccer Cleats Kids are available in multiple colorways throughout the season, typically including classic black, white, and bold accent colors. Colorway availability varies by region and retailer, so we recommend checking with authorized Adidas retailers for the current selection. Limited edition colorways may be released seasonally, so checking back regularly ensures you don't miss your preferred design.
