ASICS Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the GEL-EXCITE 11 GRADE SCHOOL runs true to size for most kids. ASICS grade-school models are designed with standard youth sizing, so ordering your child's regular shoe size is recommended. If your child has wider feet, you may want to consider sizing up by half a size for extra comfort.
The GEL-EXCITE 11 GRADE SCHOOL has minimal break-in time thanks to its breathable mesh upper and cushioned EVA midsole. Most kids can wear these shoes comfortably right out of the box for school, PE, or casual running without experiencing discomfort or blistering.
Yes, the GEL-EXCITE 11 GRADE SCHOOL features ASICS' GEL cushioning technology combined with an EVA midsole that provides excellent shock absorption for road running and everyday activities. The higher stack feel offers responsive cushioning that's ideal for grade-school runners tackling longer distances or daily PE classes.
The GEL-EXCITE 11 GRADE SCHOOL is designed primarily for road surfaces and is perfect for pavement running, school tracks, and casual everyday wear. The durable rubber outsole provides good traction on hard surfaces, making it ideal for PE classes and neighborhood running.

It's best to hand wash the GEL-EXCITE 11 GRADE SCHOOL using mild soap and cool water to preserve the mesh upper and cushioning. Avoid machine washing and direct heat drying; instead, air dry the shoes naturally to maintain their durability and shape.
The GEL-EXCITE 11 GRADE SCHOOL offers a higher stack cushioning feel compared to the Nike Revolution, making it better for kids seeking more impact protection.
