Asics Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the GEL-EXCITE 11 runs true to size for most runners. ASICS typically maintains consistent sizing across their neutral running shoes, so ordering your regular shoe size is recommended. If you have a wider foot, you may want to consider sizing up by half a size or looking into ASICS' wide-width options if available.

The GEL-EXCITE 11 has minimal break-in time thanks to its breathable mesh upper and padded heel pull tab. Most runners report the shoe feels comfortable right out of the box, though you may want to wear them for short runs first to ensure the fit is perfect for your foot shape.

The GEL-EXCITE 11 features standard cushioning with ASICS' signature foam midsole, offering a balanced feel that's neither too soft nor too firm. This makes it ideal for daily training runs and general fitness use, providing adequate impact protection without feeling overly plush or sluggish.

The GEL-EXCITE 11 is optimized for road running on pavement and other hard surfaces. While it can handle light trail work, it's primarily engineered as a neutral road running daily trainer, making it best suited for street running, gym workouts, and fitness training.

The GEL-EXCITE 11 is built with quality materials including a breathable mesh upper and a robust foam midsole designed to withstand regular running and fitness use. Most runners report good durability over 300-500 miles, though actual lifespan depends on running frequency and surface conditions.

Absolutely—the GEL-EXCITE 11 in its black/grey colorway is versatile enough for everyday athleisure and commuting. The neutral color palette and reflective accents make it suitable for casual outfits while maintaining a sporty aesthetic.

The breathable mesh upper of the GEL-EXCITE 11 can be cleaned with a soft brush and mild soap mixed with water. Allow the shoe to air dry naturally away from direct heat, and avoid machine washing to preserve the foam midsole and structural integrity.

Availability of wide sizes for the GEL-EXCITE 11 varies by retailer and region. Check with major ASICS retailers or the official ASICS website to confirm if wide-width options are available for this specific model in your desired colorway.

The GEL-EXCITE 11 is generally well-regarded with no widespread reported issues. Some runners with very high arches may find the neutral support insufficient, but this is expected given the shoe's neutral design rather than a defect.

The GEL-EXCITE 11 is available in the black/grey colorway, which is the primary offering for this model. Colorway availability may vary by retailer and season, so checking multiple ASICS retailers will give you the best selection of available options.
